    Clayton Park

is situated on Ashton New Road, Clayton, Manchester.
It is a well used and well loved small park, offering a
quiet area, a multi sports court, a childrens play area,
a very active bowling club and the historic Clayton Hall.

    Friends
The Friends of Clayton Park formed 29th July 2004. We are a small group of volunteers willing to tackle  any job in order to keep Clayton Park in good condition. We host two community events each year, a Summer Children’s Activity Afternoon and our very special Christmas at Clayton Hall event (see events page).
Over the past twelve months we have worked long and hard to turn Clayton Hall into a Victorian museum which is now open to the public on the third Saturday of each month. The museum has provided a much needed educational facility for local schools.
To add to this, students from Mancat Colleague are building raised beds in the Hall compound, which will enable children to grow herbs and vegetables.
Over the years we have been supported in all that we do by Manchester Leisure staff, New East Manchester, local Councillors, Tony Lloyd M.P. and GMP officers.
We meet bi-monthly at Clayton Hall, meetings commence 6.30pm. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 4th August and will be our AGM. If you would like to join our group or offer your time as a volunteer, just leave a message on our guest book, email us at info@friendsofclaytonpark.org.uk, ring Manchester Leisure on 0161 231 3090 or come along to our next meeting or open day.

We would love to hear from you.
